About the college

The Faculty of Economics and Political Science is one of the faculties of Nalut University, located in the city of Nalut. The Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Nalut was established as one of the faculties of Nalut University by the decision of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research No. (633) dated 16/11/2021. It includes four specializations: Economics, Management, Accounting, and Political Science. Additionally, the university president may, based on a proposal from the faculty, open other departments, which include Computer Science and Data Analysis, and Finance and Banking, and all courses in these departments are included in the curriculum.

The Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Nalut University seeks to achieve a leading position in shaping the educational process and practical practices while maintaining quality assurance and academic excellence.

The college also aspires to the highest level of excellence and distinction in order to serve the nation and its citizens; to enhance the academic competence of university professors, and it seeks to consistently activate conferences, seminars, workshops, and training courses, so as to provide a qualified teaching staff with high competence and quality, which reflects on increasing their cognitive qualifications in the realm of students' awareness and intellectual maturity. This, in turn, contributes to enlightening the cultural environment of the community and developing cognitive skills, while supplying the local market with national expertise. To support and uphold this vision, the educational staff strives to provide a distinguished educational service that equips students with knowledge and skills that meet the requirements of development and the labor market.

Based on this, the college fulfills its cognitive, preparatory, and executive role by contributing to opening its doors to all seekers of knowledge from high school graduates both domestically and abroad, to study in this knowledge institution. It is important to note that this contribution is accompanied by raising awareness among students, guiding them, and alerting them that they are entering a new educational phase in which they will be directed to adapt to all that this phase entails in terms of knowledge and responsibilities. Notably, this phase is characterized by interaction, participation, and differing scientific opinions, expanding the horizons of knowledge, increasing maturity, building experiences, establishing the knowledge base for specialists, and preparing oneself for social integration and personality development. 

This vision may pave the way for elevating the status of faculty members and students, motivating them to give and contribute, as both are in the same boat with the goal of achieving development and knowledge advancement, supported by fostering the skills of creativity, while keeping up with the changes of the era and interacting with its demands.

 

The Faculty of Economics and Political Science / Nalut seeks to uplift the community by developing human resources from faculty members and students, considering that education is one of the most important elements of human investment. To achieve this desired academic mission, its message is as follows:

  1. Providing an educational system with high-quality standards that elevates the level of higher education, where students acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the challenges faced by society and the state, while encouraging students to continue their educational journey.
  2. Graduating qualified personnel in the cognitive and practical aspects across various disciplines included in the college, in line with the evolving needs of society and the labor market, while providing all possible training programs for human development, and establishing community partnerships that contribute to the development of the local community.
  3. The college is committed to being among the distinguished colleges at Nalut University by believing in the values of national belonging, dedication, and integrity in work, supporting the values of justice, integrity, and transparency in the educational process, and establishing a culture of institutional work.

The college aims to the following:

  1. Preparing the educational and cognitive environment for the student in order to develop their intellectual abilities, while enhancing and supporting efforts towards a culture of scientific research.
  2. Expanding partnerships and developing relationships with universities and research institutions locally and internationally.
  3. Enhancing the role of the university in serving the community by providing consulting and training programs in various aspects of development.
  4. Linking educational outcomes to development requirements and labor market needs.
  5. Working with a unified administrative team spirit among departments and administrations, in the context of fostering and solidifying a sense of responsibility.
  6. Encouraging self-initiatives and creativity by the student and the teacher.
