About the Department


This department is considered one of the core departments in the college, and it aims to prepare students who possess analytical and intellectual abilities that enable them to understand political issues and international relations, as well as to comprehend the challenges facing the state and society in the modern era.

We are committed in the department to combining theoretical study with practical application, and enhancing students' skills in scientific research and constructive criticism, so that they can contribute to the development of public policies and serve the nation with a spirit of responsibility and knowledge.

We continuously strive to develop our curricula in line with global political developments, and to encourage academic dialogue and openness to leading experiences in this field.

Head of the Political Science Department

It is with great pride and joy that I welcome you to the Department of Political Science, which was launched in the spring of 2023 to serve as a platform for research and study in the fields of politics, international relations, and public administration. Our current student body consists of 16 students, reflecting a promising start to an academic journey through which we aspire to develop skills in political analysis and a deep understanding of local and international issues.

In the department, we strive to offer a comprehensive program that combines theory and practice, preparing our students to be leaders and thinkers capable of facing the challenges of the era and contributing to national and international decision-making. We also emphasize encouraging scientific research and student initiatives that enhance their political awareness and leadership skills.

In conclusion, we ask Allah to grant success to our students and faculty members, and for the Department of Political Science to be a source of knowledge and an effective contributor to society and sustainable political development.

curriculum


The college currently follows a closed semester system and will transition to an open semester system later. The academic year is divided into two semesters (Fall / Spring), and the duration of study at the college is eight semesters during which the student studies a set of courses according to the credit hour system (i.e., 3 credit hours). The college grants a specialized degree (Bachelor's degree).
