About the department
The Accounting Department is considered one of the essential departments in the college, aiming to prepare graduates who possess the scientific and professional competence that qualifies them to work in public and private institutions, and to contribute to enhancing transparency and financial accountability across various sectors.
The department is keen on providing advanced educational programs that meet international standards in accounting and auditing, enabling students to acquire practical skills in the areas of financial analysis, report preparation, and modern financial data management.
We also pay special attention to developing ethical and professional values among students, enabling them to perform their future tasks with integrity and efficiency.
In the Accounting Department, we strive to develop scientific research and encourage applied studies that serve the business environment and the national economy, hoping to contribute to the preparation of a conscious and responsible generation that actively participates in building the institutions of the state.

I am pleased to welcome you all to the Accounting Department, which began its academic journey in the spring of 2023 and currently includes more than 70 students who have chosen this major in pursuit of building a promising professional future in a field that is considered one of the most important pillars of the business world.
The department has been committed since its establishment to providing a high-quality and modern educational environment, equipping students with the scientific and practical skills that enable them to understand modern accounting systems and to face professional challenges with confidence and competence. We also continuously strive to develop our curricula, enhance partnerships with community institutions and both the public and private sectors, and create field training opportunities that enrich the educational experience.
My sons and daughters, students, you are the core and spirit of this department, and it is through you that successes are made. We invite you to take advantage of all the available resources and to put forth your utmost efforts in your academic journey, for the future is wide open for the ambitious and those capable of excellence.

Curricula
The college currently follows a closed semester system and will transition to an open semester system later. The academic year is divided into two semesters (Fall / Spring), and the duration of study at the college is eight semesters during which the student studies a set of courses according to the credit hour system (i.e., 3 credit hours). The college grants a specialized degree (Bachelor's degree).
