In an event that reflects the academic status and national role of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Dr. Elias Abubakr Al-Barouni, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Nalut University, participated in the inauguration ceremony of the Criminal Research and Training Center affiliated with the Office of the Attorney General, alongside Dr. Ayman Al-Khamaisi, Dean of the Faculty of Law, on Monday evening in the capital, Tripoli.

The opening ceremony was held in the presence of the Attorney General, Counselor Al-Siddiq Al-Sour, with high-level participation from university presidents, research centers, and representatives of relevant institutions. This occasion embodied the integration between judicial work and scientific research, and affirmed the national direction towards developing the criminal justice system and building institutional capacities.

Following the inauguration, the Attorney General, accompanied by guests, conducted a field tour inside the center's corridors, during which they were briefed on its departments and advanced research and training experiences. This edifice is considered one of the most significant qualitative achievements in the judicial, research, and rehabilitation fields, as it provides a supportive scientific environment for criminal investigations, the qualification of national competencies, and the enhancement of partnership between the judiciary and academic institutions.

The participation of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Nalut University in this prominent national event underscores its active presence in the strategic issues of the state, its advanced role in supporting institutional reform pathways, establishing the rule of law, and building scientific competencies capable of contributing to the formulation of public policies and enhancing the justice system.
