As part of the university's social responsibility.. Academic participation in a workshop on the constitutional path and national solution
With the participation of Professor Dr. Elyas Abobaker Al-barouni, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Nalut University, the National Constitutional Movement (NCM) organized a workshop today, Saturday, October 10, 2026, titled: "The Constitutional Path as an Entry Point for National Solutions: From Disruption of Entitlements to the Comprehensive National Initiative."
The workshop witnessed the participation of several members of the Supreme Council of State, members of the Constitutional Drafting Committee, members of the dialogue committee in Geneva and Tunisia, along with representatives from civil society organizations and a selection of national figures and activities.
The workshop discussed the challenges facing the constitutional path in Libya, and ways to overcome the state of political stagnation, leading to a comprehensive national initiative that makes the constitution a gateway to ending the political deadlock, establishing legitimacy, achieving stability, and building a state of institutions and law, based on respecting the will of the Libyan people and their right to determine the future of their country. This participation reaffirms the role of the university and academics in supporting national dialogue, providing scientific insights that contribute to addressing critical issues, and enhancing the chances of consensus around a national project that places Libya's interests above all considerations.
