Dr. Elias Al-Barouni supervises the discussion of a master's thesis that addressed the impact of the Libyan crisis on North Africa.
As part of enhancing scientific and academic cooperation among Libyan universities, Nalut University, represented by Prof. Dr. Ilyas Abubakr Al-Barouni (Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science), participated in the discussion of the master's thesis presented by researcher Ahmed Mohamed Ibrahim Al-Khadrawi from the Department of Political Science at Al-Zawiya University.
The discussion witnessed a distinguished academic presence this morning, Sunday, August 16, 2026, for the master's thesis titled:
"The Impact of Libyan Political and Security Transformations on North Africa: The Case of Algeria (2014–2024)"
The discussion committee was formed by the decision of the President of Al-Zawiya University No. (822) for the year 2026, consisting of:
Prof. Dr. Ilyas Abubakr Al-Barouni (Nalut University) – Supervisor and Rapporteur.
Prof. Dr. Al-Siddiq Khalifa Al-Kilani (Zawiya University) – Internal Examiner.
Prof. Dr. Abdul Moneim Ali Salem Al-Ayeb (University of Sabratha) – External Examiner.
After an extensive scientific discussion and the solid academic treatment presented by the researcher regarding the implications of the Libyan crisis on regional security and neighboring countries, the committee decided to award the researcher the degree of high license (master's).
